So processmaker is a really powerful BPM platform built on top of PHP and MySQL. This is the documentation for a generic install PM Wiki. Additionally, here is a document specifically mentioning requirements for hosted enviroments PM Hosted... So based on the installation and configuration, can I install on the shared stack? Or do I need my own MySQL or PHP stack for custom configurations? Hopefully the installation is straightforward.

There is also a Bitnami installer (which I understand is possible to install from other posts). But it probably takes a lot more resources, right?

So what would be the recommended way to install this useful software?

Using your own custom Apache and private MySQL instances for this app would probably give you the most flexibility and match closest to the install instructions.

Though, you will need to modify the Apache install.bash to use a version 5.6 binary, eg.

Ok, great. But with this fpm setup, how do I edit the php.ini file? I need to enable certain modules and settings right? Should I just create the php.ini file? Where? Thanks in advance.

I believe the php.ini file is located in the FPM ./lib/ directory. If not you want to place it there.
