I'm on the 1GB shared plan and I'm considering upgrading to the 2GB cloud plan before trying to install certificates. I have a few low volume WordPress sites, and one WordPress site which is low volume now, but I expect traffic to increase.

Sometimes the site gets a little sluggish. I'm using a lot of plugins along with WP Rocket cache. I'm wondering if the extra GB will help, especially since I saw this in another post: "Wordpress is served out of the shared apache instance."

Thanks

The shared server plan you are on is more powerful than the 2GB plan as it has more CPU's available to it. I would optimize your apps as much as possible and only upgrade if you are hitting your memory limit consistently. For performance advice please see,
