Hi: I have a django application in which I want to create multiple ftp accounts from the admin panel and each has its own working directory. My idea was to implement a python twisted server and link it with the django database but I see no way to redirect FTP traffic to my custom server.

Any ideas? ... Thanks.

Hi Alicia,

For this to work you would need to create a "Custom application listening on port." Install your Twisted server and configure it to use the port provided to you by the custom application. Since this port will only be accessible from within the server (the outside world won't have access) we will need to open a hole in the firewall. In order for us to open a hole in the firewall you will need to have a dedicated IP address ($5/month).

Keep in mind that our AUP: http://www.webfaction.com/legal/aup Section 1, part k prohibits anonymous FTP services.
