Hi,

I was curious if I would be able to run xcache on a webfaction server. My application uses it. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can run xcache under a private installation of lighttpd:

  1. Create a new Custom Application (Listening on port)
  2. Install lighttpd from source.
  3. Install xcache from source into your lighttpd instance.

If you need to install xcache as a PHP extension, you can try installing a local PHP+Apache instance using a helper script, and then install xcache as a PHP Extension.

Hope that helps!
