Using the default ssl connection handling from webfaction i receive the following error in my browser. You attempted to reach www.mydomain.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as *.webfaction.com.

Hi,

Yes, by default if a site doesn't use its own certificate then Webfaction's certificate is served for it. More information on this can be found here:
