Hi

Have things moved on since this post from 2006, i.e. can Webfaction now set up round-robin DNS?

thanks!

We've supported round-robin DNS since at least 2008. Round-robin DNS is set up automatically when you configure the same domain on two different servers.

Thanks. I actually want to set up round-robin DNS from a subdomain to two servers that are not Webfaction machines, so I just want to add two new IPs to the hosts file. Is that a possibility?

As long as we can publish DNS records for it (i.e. you're pointing the subdomain elsewhere using a DNS override), then round-robin DNS will work.

Just in case I'm misreading this, could you explain a bit more about what you want to do with a hosts file?
