Hi,

I manage my DNS exclusively with webfaction, let's say example.com.

Both A and MX records for example.com point to other servers. Moreover, I have a subdomain, e.g. sub.example.com, that has A record pointing to another server.

Now I would like to have an e-mail address under sub.example.com catched by a script @ webfaction. I've set up the e-mail (with Autoresponder right now), I've added the webfaction MX records for sub.example.com, but my test e-mails are not auto-responded by webfaction, but by mailer-daemon.

Any ideas how to configure my subdomain properly?

Can you provide the bounce message you're getting from the MAILER-DAEMON responder?
