Hello,

I'm looking to tar one of my webapps for backup. How can tar and even gzip the file (.tar.gz) ?

I'm using terminal in MAC.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

You can tar a webapp over terminal using gzip using the command:

tar -czf <appname>.tar.gz ~/webapps/<appname>
