I am running a site in ruby on rails and the process gets killed due to the large Memory usage.

I am looking for tools to check the memory footprint in order to make some improvements in my code.

Do you have any suggestions?

Hi,

You can use the command:

ps -u $USER -o rss,command | grep -v peruser | awk '{sum+=$1} END {print sum/1024}'

to see your current usage. You can also use the script here.

You can also see the post here to reduce your memory usage.
