Hi, I'd like to change my DNS setup with the registrar to use WebFaction's nameservers so that I can receive mail but I don't want the site to go live. I noticed I can disable the website which goes a long way to resolving my issue however I need to keep the sub-domain up and running so my client can view/work on the work in progress version of the website. Is there a way to partially disable a site or another way I could achieve what I want to do. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me with this. asked 13 Dec '11, 17:50 GRO |
Hi, Yes, you can just use your sub-domain in the site record with the app that you want to work on and not the main domain. This wll ensure that your main domain is still served with the default Webfaction placeholder page, while your subdomain remains active. If you have your own custom placeholder page, you can use that too in a different site through a Static-only or Static/CGI/PHP app. answered 13 Dec '11, 19:22 neeravk I think I understand, do you mean link the app only to the subdomain? If so, where can I do that?

You can do that by creating a new site from the panel.
You can follow: to do that.
