I am trying to restart web2py using the files located in myappname/apache2/bin, but I keep getting 500 error messages when attempting to load my site. Also, when attempting to run httpd in said directory, it responds with:

httpd: Could not open configuration file /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf: No such file or directory

Is there a way to fix this without just reinstalling web2py?

You don't have to run the httpd binary, but the start script in the same directory to get it running.

Also, if you are getting a 500 error, can you see your app error logs?

They should be in

/home/username/logs/user/error_<appname>.log
