I have a Static/CGI/PHP app to serve static files for my Django application. Since I created it, I've modified the main CSS file and done "collectstatic" for it and when I look at the file content in the static app, it is updated. However, when the web browser gets it, it still gets the old version. I've tried clearing the browser cache, to no success.

Any help appreciated!

What does curl get?

$ curl -v http://foo
permanent link

It gets me the right version (the new one).

OK, good. Than it is a cache someplace in the OS or browser. Curl will always tell you what the server has now with no cache.

Yeah, I know, which is really weird, because both Firefox with a cleared cache and Chrome (which hadn't even shown the page before) give me the old version.

This problem somehow resolved itself...
