WebFaction
Community site: login faq

I had installed WordPress here at WebFaction but have moved that account to a different server to allow the client to manage it. In trying to set up the new account, the DB export did not import correctly.

I would like to do an export directly from WordPress but the domain is pointing elsewhere currently. Can I access the WordPress instance on my WebFaction account via IP address?

You should be able to, but you could also point your username.webfactional.com domain at your WP application and then access it from there.

We use name-based virtual hosting, so you cannot access your site directly via its IP address. You can use your webfactional subdomain (or a sub-subdomain of that) to test the site if you're not ready to transfer your domain.
