I had installed WordPress here at WebFaction but have moved that account to a different server to allow the client to manage it. In trying to set up the new account, the DB export did not import correctly. I would like to do an export directly from WordPress but the domain is pointing elsewhere currently. Can I access the WordPress instance on my WebFaction account via IP address? asked 18 Jan '12, 15:17 Alistair |
You should be able to, but you could also point your username.webfactional.com domain at your WP application and then access it from there. answered 18 Jan '12, 15:23 tclancy |
We use name-based virtual hosting, so you cannot access your site directly via its IP address. You can use your webfactional subdomain (or a sub-subdomain of that) to test the site if you're not ready to transfer your domain. answered 18 Jan '12, 15:40 seanf |
