Hi there,

I don't intend to complain about the rather copmlex way of managing (sftp-) user permissions, but would like to know something.

Does anyone have an idea of how to fix a users' permissions on a specific application, without automatically granting him access to any application that is added in the future?

Currently when I add user following the guide on this page it works like a charm. BUT as soon as I install another application I have to go through the whole process of giving a user the correct permissions, for all users. In my case, where I have over 10 customers' websites running on my account, adding an application takes up a lot of time because I have to reset all the user permissions. This is why at the moment I don't give my clients ftp access to their website (which is a bit amateuristic of me).

Thanks!

Danny

The following command will fix that:

setfacl -m d:u:secondary_user:--- /home/main_user/webapps

However, since your ~/webapps directory is owned by root, you'll need to open a support ticket to ask us to run the command for you.

Hope that helps!
