Hello I've played arround with ACL configuration and forgot to look at and save the initial untouched standard configuration. The ACL's on a new account home directory look like this. The "other::---" bit in the ACL on the home directory prevents other users from accessing your home directory and its contents, so yes, your home directory is secure by default.
