WebFaction
Community site: login faq

Hello,

I am trying to set up a staging version of a site for one of our clients on our new WebFaction account. Their site runs on ExpressionEngine and uses ForceType in the htaccess file to change the name of the index.php file (to "site"). Like this...

DirectoryIndex site index.php index.shtml index.html index.htm

<Files site>
ForceType application/x-httpd-php
</Files>

This works fine on their live site and my local version, but just prompts a download here on WF. Any way to get it working?

Thanks!

Try using the AddType directive to tell it what application/x-httpd-php is,

AddType application/x-httpd-php php html
permanent link

Looks like that just renders out the php as plain text.

Try this one instead, if it fails submit a support ticket so we can investigate directly.

AddHandler php54-cgi site .shtml .html .html .php
