Hi folks,

I have a MySQL database and would like to allow folks to add to it (and only add to it). The user that uses the database doesn't have the CREATE USER privilege.

Thanks for your advice!

You would have to build your own MySQL server from source code, the shared server must have these limits imposed to keep it secure for everyone else.

If you are simply looking to create read-only access to your database, you can use GRANT to allow such access. Please see this related community post for an example.
