Is it possible to set nginx conf values locally to my app?

I have a need to add this:

server { proxy_pass http://OTHER_DOMAIN_I_CONTROL.com; }

Is that possible, and indeed permitted?

edit: Got this working by creating a custom app, and installing nginx there. If this breaks any rules, let me know!

This is perfectly valid and should not cause any problems.

Note that you would need to be running your own Nginx instance, either under a Custom Application (listening on port) or under any application which uses Nginx naturally (such as a Passenger app).

Enjoy!
