This is the first time I've tried to create a new mailbox, and I'm getting an error on the Mailbox Name field: "This value cannot be used."

I'm in control panel > email > mailboxes, having clicked 'Add new mailbox'. The name of the mailbox I tried to create is definitely unique (it's the first one, and not the same as my user name).

Any idea what's going wrong?

(I can't upload a screenshot - not enough karma...)

Mailbox user names must be unique across the platform, as the mail platform is shared by everyone. Try naming it with this format,

username_mailboxname

Where username is your account username and mailboxname is the name you want. If you still have issues, please submit a support ticket.

Thanks - that makes sense. But the docs (and the error message) could make this a bit clearer.

That works. Thanks for this. (I can't upvote, hence the comment.)
