Community site: login faq

Hi,

I've been trying to install a number of python modules (libevent among others) with no luck because the server cannot find gcc. after looking at this community it seemed like gcc is on webfaction servers and I am no longer on one of the older machines...

how do i get it to recognize that a C compiler is indeed installed and available?

This appears to be a problem with web5 - according to the package manager, the gcc package is installed. The gcc executable, however, seems to be missing. I'll bring this to the urgent attention of our sysadmin team, and they should have it corrected shortly.

Update: It's now fixed.
